My client, a well-established engineering and design firm, is looking for a motivated IT Support Technician to provide onsite, frontline IT support to their team. This role suits an early-career IT professional who enjoys helping users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and keeping a busy office running smoothly.
You'll be comfortable working with Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, and common business applications in a professional office environment.
What You'll Do:
- Provide friendly, timely, and professional frontline IT support to office and remote staff.
- Respond to support requests related to Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, email, and common business applications.
- Assist users with account access, password resets, login issues, and basic system navigation.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, scanner, monitor, and connectivity issues.
- Set up and support desktop equipment, including workstations, laptops, monitors, and phones.
- Support new hire IT onboarding, including equipment prep and first-day tech support.
- Log, prioritize, and track support requests through the service desk system.
- Escalate more complex issues to the appropriate resource.
- Maintain clear troubleshooting notes and user-facing documentation.
What You Bring:
- Education, training, or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Systems, or a related field.
- Entry-level experience providing user support or hands-on help with technology; 1-2 years is an asset.
- Working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, and common workstation hardware.
- Familiarity with ticketing/service desk systems is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, customer-service mindset.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
Compensation: $50,000–$65,000 annually, depending on experience.
