About the role
Our client is looking for a Marketing & Communications Coordinator to tell the stories of their projects, people and culture. You will write, edit, photograph and film content that builds brand visibility, internal engagement and business development. Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, this is a hands-on role with plenty of room for creative input and growth.
What you'll do
- Write and edit content for social media, internal communications, proposals, presentations and marketing materials
- Develop stories about projects, people and culture that fit the brand voice
- Edit blog posts and thought leadership content from technical experts
- Capture and edit photo and video for projects, people, events and headshots
- Plan, create, post and track social media content
- Update website content, including project highlights and company news
- Support career fairs, networking sessions and company events, including setup and event photography
- Create internal content such as office TV slides and Teams updates
- Write, edit and format proposal content with technical and business development teams
- Maintain project reference sheets, team CVs and other proposal materials
What you bring
- 3 to 5 years of experience in marketing, communications or a related role
- Strong writing and editing skills for proposals, digital content and internal communications
- Experience editing content from subject matter experts
- Experience creating and posting social media content for professional accounts
- Hands-on photography and basic video production skills
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro), Canva and Microsoft 365
- Strong organization, attention to detail and comfort managing multiple priorities
- A valid Manitoba Class 5 driver's licence and reliable transportation
Nice to have
- Experience in professional services, engineering or construction
- Short-form video editing for social media
